A proper fitting saddle is a very important part in pleasure and competitive riding, it is important to have a saddle which fits both the horse and the rider.  The impression pad is currently the most accurate way to test a saddle, this is because the saddle is tested with the horse in motion.  Testing a saddle when the horse is stationary will not provide an accurate reading , to obtain a full understanding of the saddle fit the horse must engage in movement. The beautiful part is you can see exactly how your addle fits and where it does not!
